Calvin can be booked for performances either solo or with ensembles ranging in size from a duo right up to a forty piece fiddle orchestra. A diverse range of musical styles is offered. Calvin has years of experience designing programs for musical events and celebrations. Drawing on his contacts in the musical community Calvin can provide and coordinate any style or instrumentation for special events and functions involving live music.
Listed below are just a few of the basic possibilities for ensemble combinations. Fees vary according to the specific details of each engagement.
SOLO
Primarily fiddle / violin and concertina playing all styles including celtic, gypsy jazz and light classical.
DUO
Add a guitarist / singer. Styles include Celtic, Ragtime, Gypsy and early swing...or perhaps a more formal classical violin duo?
TRIO
Bring on the big double Bass. Now we have a small dance band! QUARTET Add a wacky percussionist on drums and washboard. (The excitement level just went way up!!)
