THE DOOR IS ALWAYS OPEN
The heart of the Conservatory Fiddle Orchestra experience is in the weekly group lessons offered at the Victoria Conservatory Of Music. There are several levels ongoing from beginners to advanced.
If you are interested, there is a standing invitation to come and sit in on any of the classes at any time during the year. Anyone can join at any time but it is best to start at the beginning of the term making it easier to keep pace with the group learning process. If you are a more advanced player with average reading skills, it is easy to catch up and learn all of the standing repertoire concurrent with the addition of the new tunes introduced at each lesson.
If you are uncertain of which level to enroll in, you are encouraged to try a couple of different classes to see which group suits you best. Students are welcome to sit in on the next level up at no extra charge if it makes for a smoother transition to that higher level. Since there is a common repertoire and spirit of flexibility, students are free to change levels at any time during the year. This attitude helps everybody get the most out of the group experience.
